Officers reported they were notified by a resident who found a car in Hanau marked with reddish fluid

Roughly 50 automobiles have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to police.

Cars, exterior walls and postboxes were defaced, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they announced in a release.

Police state they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual discovered that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued fluid.

The fluid had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Police then located multiple other vandalized cars and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under legislation prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Officials say initial examinations indicate the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no lead as to where it came from; authorities are presently not cognizant of any injuries in connection with the incident," they added.

Municipal representatives announced they were attempting "to unravel the case" and have requested to the community for tips.

A high-ranking political figure stated the vandalism made him speechless and had to be addressed rapidly.

"This incident hits the center of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the far-right attack half a decade ago," he posted on a platform, mentioning the death of nine individuals by a assailant aiming at residents of migrant background in 2020.
